KA BOBS! This weekend was my Big Kid's birthday, 26 flipping years, where the hell does time go anyway?? His wife Diana, also has her birthday on the 18th. They brought me my Angel Baby on Thursday afternoon and left to spend the weekend in Galveston. So I don't have to tell you what I did all weekend, huh? LOVES AND KISSES.

We decided to grill Saturday afternoon, it was GORGEOUS outside. Yes, MilkMan had a little bit of a time, NOT being on his bike LOL... My shish-ka-bobs turned out SO pretty, donchathink?? They were sooo good too.

As I was walking around the deck, making mental notes of all the things that needed to be done (it never ends) I spied a slithery creature. The one and only thing I HATE about this house, we never miss a summer without at LEAST two or three copperhead sightings. This one was close to home, RIGHT on the edge of the deck, snuggled in my crepe myrtle. I have a knack for spotting them, I think because they heeb me out SO badly. It took MilkMan and Tyler few minutes to actually see it after I showed them where it was. Tyler got his airsoft BB pistol thing and I guess all that time he spends on his Battlefied online game paid off. One single BB, right to the head. The snake never moved. SHIVER.

And here's an obligatory shot of the Angel Baby of my life.

PS - 2am feedings still suck, even with the grandkidlet.

With a baby in the house the snakes would scare me to death.

Miss...you said a mouthful, no doubt. We raised both the boys out here, they both had big fat rubber boots and I tattoo'd PUT ON YOUR BOOTS and watch for snakes on their foreheads. Life in Texas.

Holy shit, even with a baby NOT in the house that would scare me so that nary an ounce of pee would be left in me.

Move.

I hate snakes! Good thing you saw it and took care of it. Never know where those things can get into.

Aghhhh, me and the neighbor lady are tied over who is more freaked out by those things. At least mine (so far) have been non-poisonous...not that that even matters...cuz a snake by any other name is STILL a SNAKE!!!

Your K-Bobs look divine!!!
