This morning I was on the phone with MilkMan talking about our 401K retirement account.
Little Kid was sitting behind me and asked me what I was doing when I hung up the phone.
me: Upping our contributions to our retirement account.
lk: How come?
me: So we can retire without having to come live with you.
lk: Oh.
me: Would it be ok if we just come live with you?
lk: *shrugs shoulder* mutters "sure".
me: Would you want Grandpa [that would be The BIG MilkMan who can be a cantankerous old coot] to come live with us?
lk: Spins his chair around and yelps NO.
me: Point made.

LOL Shame on you scaring little kid like that!
I kind of threw caution to the wind (well not exactly but a bit more risk taking) with my 401K and am surprised at how well it has done. I just upped mine too as they vote each year (we're state) on what they'll match.

You know it never says your posts are new next to your blog name at the field. Wonder how come?
I like to visit Amy just so I can leave her refrigerator and microwave door standing open. It's so......liberating. LOL!
We used all of our 401K when we bought our second house in SD. So after we had to come back here to take care of my dad we moved back into our first home. Our daughter and her boys had to come live with us. I told her well I guess its better than your dad and I moving in with you. She didnt get it.
LOL Tina..he NEEDS to be scared. MilkMan becomes more like his father every single day. It scares the hell out of me. We've done well this last year too, thankfully.
Crabby...I don't know why that is. The only person I think that ever shows new on mine is Sign and Barman.
Gab...I've lived with my grown Big Kid briefly...that was MORE than enough. I'm looking forward to a big old fat fat empty nest LOL
Ahaha!!! Too funny!
The only reason my link shows up as updated is because I go to Blogrolling.com and ping myself. I only wish it was as much fun as it sounds. ;)
That’s teaching the kid how to look after his elders. Hope it doesn’t misfire in the distant future! :)
mine aren't old enough to realize this kind of stuff....heck, they even miss the kinfolk when they leave! I sure as heck don't want to be supporting any
Well for your sake I certainly hope that your son doesn't turn out to be the stinkpot that mine was! I amassed quite a fortune and now it is paying the rent here at the shithole. And my nogoodnick was the one who put me here. He cheaped out, hoping I'd die quickly and he'd get my millions. No way! I have personally vowed to die ONLY AFTER I have liquidated all my assets and leave him NOTHING! NOTHING!
LOL Sign..well, maybe Crabby should go ping herself, huh?
Nick..I hope so too. ;)
Iris..you have that much money?? REALLY... and I am being so mean to such a kind little old woman. I must mend my ways. *fingers crossed behind back*
