It's official. Sprocket is NOT a water dog.
We took him out on the boat on Sunday morning and he did ok on the ride out to the middle of the lake. He's so big and heavy on the front end, he had a hard time swimming, even tho the boys insisted on trying several times, he left many battle scars on their flesh.
He did spend the afternoon laying around on the boat with me, a much nicer thing for him I think.
Now, I have to manage to get over to the boat store room and get all the dog hair out of the boat before MilkMan sees the damning fur. :)

Abby likes water - to walk in at least. She hasn't tried to swim. She does have a life jacket! You could get Sprocket one of those and let him float LOL.

Why is it that the biggest dogs have to be taught to swim?
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ha ha ha ha! Poor pup. Lucy is supposed to be a water dog. What's supposed to happen is...you shoot a duck...the golden swims out in the lake, gets the duck and brings it back. What would really happen is....you'd shoot the duck and Lucy would cry her eyes out because she lost a potential friend. LOL!
LOL He doesn't look too happy, but I'll bet he likes beating the heat. Hmmm.... Wonder how my cat would like the water. Ahahahahahaha - NOT!
Tina those little life jackets are s so cute, we do want to get one for Sprocket.
Sign, I don't know. He was NOT HAPPY.
Crabby...AHAHAHAHAHAHA! Your dog is ... like you, huh?
Doc, you have a cat? I...wouldn't put any of my cats near water LOL
I'm glad you guys are having such fun with your boat!
Our dog is nuts for the water. I'm jealous! If we get out of the boat 'round these parts it's by accident and you certainly get back in as soon as possible lest you freeze something vital off!
