Because I don't have enough treasures....we cut our San Antonio trip down to a quick one day and didn't stay over night. So...I splurged on these treasures. The tray is from the old meat market in Navasota Tx. I'm moving some stuff around in my office and I think that my computer monitor will rest on this wonderful old part of local history. The basket, is the exact clone of Caroline's egg basket, really...look next time you watch Little House...I KNOW you do. :)

I have abused this room for all of the twenty + years we've lived here. We don't have a garage, so I dumped a lot of crap in here, that were projects, tools....etc. It's a real room now, including a day bed where I plan to nap and read and sew.....and dream. ♥

When I was a very little girl, I remember going to my Mema's when she lived off of Montrose in downtown Houston. She had a glassed in front porch, probably a three season porch, that was mostly filled with one very long table and it was full of all kinds of plates in pots. Most of them were African Violets. It's a good memory, we were allowed to take home cuttings in a styrofoam coffee cup cut in half if we were really good on our visit. I killed every one of them lol, but I tried. So from that memory, I gathered all of my obsessivly collected glass cloches in on spot, a long table in my sun room. I like it, it's a good memory, but...what the hell am I doing with all this stuff and clutter.....arg.

Still working on my $10 thrift bike. That was about all the spray paint I could take today. Dropped the fern in just to take the photos, was thinking more like flowers. And.....pumpkins. Gotta find it's home in my yard. MilkMan suggested the back fence, behind all the trees and brush. He's....so....funny. Not.

I know..I suck, I didn't take a before photo, but this hanging lamp was nasty and had an old fixture hanging out, with 5-6 little candle lamps. Scraped off all the spattered paint, wiped it up and piled a bunch of clay pots under it. I LOVE IT. It looks like some of the old french ones you see for a bazilion bucks. .......$5. SCORE!

In the middle of painting and distressing the old desk. Can't find the handles I want on there...still searching.
