After a long time away, I am going to play SPF today, hosted by Kristine at Random and Odd. Luggage is the subject, show your luggage. And as with most things in my life, I am a little obsessed with LUGGAGE, old, beat up, cheap, yard sale luggage is best. There are no wheels, no extending handles, but there is space, character, hidden treasures and trinkets a lot of time. And of course a secret space to hide all those magazines that I insist on having.
Here's is my current stack I have going on. I have more, probably about four more big ones, but they are not out, they are currently keeping my closet dust bunnies company. This stack...I have in my guest bedroom, but after I get done with my new Grandma in the Garden master bedroom makeover, I suspect they will make their way into my room.
And this blue round Tiara one is probably one of my all time favorites and yes, I do use it. It makes me feel like Marlo Thomas on That Girl. *tilts head, pushes back black flipped hair, smiles and yelps "Oh Donald"*

That is some hella cool luggage. I dig the old stuff. The airlines can't seem to destroy it.. unlike the cheap stuff they make nowadays. (Wow, I sounded like a grandma there, didn't I?) Anyway - Happy SPF! We didn't play AGAIN this week. Will the funk never end??
Wow a round suitcase. Cool. I played too.
We had some luggage very much like the second and fourth cases in your first picture. Now I did not use them a lot but this so brings back memories. Love the "That Girl". Despite the color it kind of speaks Barbie to me. I think it is more the time frame than actually being Barbie. Nice collection.
LOVE those!
Happy spf
I played :)
That is a cute idea.
I played.
Hmmmm, so you like that blue luggage, huh? You want some more? I can arrange that.
Ooops, that annony comment was me.
Oooh, what I have cluttering my garage is not as nice as your pieces I don't think. I'll have to take you some photos. If you want them they are yours. They are probably circa 1950.
Thanks Charlotte, I love it all, dirty, beat up, as long as the latches work, I'm ok with them.
Hi Connie!
Barman, I COULD spray paint it bright pink, borrow Crabby's Britney wig and be Barbie, huh??
Thanks Christie and Mom and glad you stopped by.
Deb, don't tease me.
ARE YOU SERIOUS?? I'll pay the shipping. For real, they store stuff very nicely under a bed or in a closet. This is a true story, when MilkMan's brother died, MilkMan inherited all of Rick's worldly posessions which was one ripped Harley t-shirt, one Sturgis pin and two OLD OLD leather suitcases, very VERY large and heavy, full of 70s and 80s Easy Rider magazines. And they are all still stored in those old cases, like new most of it. They are treasures to him, suitcases included.
Ok...now...are you teasing me??
Suitcase obsessed milkmaid.
LOVE those suitcases! I may have to start yard sale hopping this spring...you've inspired me!
Thanks for stopping by!
I sent you an e-mail, lol, you will appreicate it on many levels.
I would not change a thing. Besides the bright pink and Britney just might clash with the bike and we can't have that now.
I had EXACTLY that case that's 2nd from the bottom -from my aunt. And I know you will want to kill me when I tell you I gave it away on craigslist awhile back.
WOW! I am so happy I picked luggage because you have some seriously cool looking stuff!!
There is something about your webpage colors that makes me want to lick the screen and hope it tastes like chocolate!!
What a fantastic collection of "retro" luggage. Have a great weekend!
dibs on that top one if Milky should suddenly mysteriously disappear.
Not saying I know she will or anything. Cuz I don't know nuthin. Just...you know...dibs.
I LOVE that round one - too cool! Yes I think vintage luggage should make a return...
I played too
That stuff lasts better than new (and expensive) luggage- and it's so cool looking!
I love the round one- my grandma had one like it. You've got the best luggage I've seen today.
Awesome!
Those are cool! I only have like an old trunk type case, but I want to do some stacking ones too.
I love *That Girl*!
Did you see the train case display on the Daisy Cottage site?
tina
You're the coolest traveller at the airport!
I played too :)
Oh, I love stacked suitcases as room decor! And the round one is nothing but class. Great SPF! (Sorry I'm late in commenting today -- had grandkids all day yesterday.)
