We've lived out by this large well known lake for over 15 years now and only had a boat (if that is what you want to call that rickety hunk of fiberglass) for a very short while.

Well, the boat fever has struck the MilkPeople's household. And hard. We are scheduled for a ride in one possible buy this evening and I suspect that will seal the deal. If not on this particular boat, then another to be found quickly.

I'm worried. Excited yes...but worried. You know all those boat stories you hear, we paid all that money and then never used it....blah blah. So, lay yours on me.

You've already heard mine but my advice is to start small - okay maybe not small - but not over the top. See how you like it and how much you use it and then you can always upgrade. Don't go into debt over it and that will help the *worried* feelings. LOL

We've had a boat for many years and there are times we use it lots and lots, and times when we don't use it as much as we'd like. We're always glad though that we took the plunge.

Can't wait to hear what you decide!!!!

Milkmaid, thats an odd thing to say....
But I did have a 14 ft Sea Nymph with a 10 horse Johnson for 5 years and never put it in the water...
I just traded it to my Bro-in-law for a brand new Honda generator in the box!!!
( the boat was used )
Have a great day.)

...Hows the Peachka?

You know you got a lot going for you where you live. I mean our boating season is probably only 4 months or so, maybe 5 if you are brave. Of that there are only 3 really good months. I would think things would be much longer where you are.

My brother-in-law had a boat for many years and, for a while, was using it a lot and enjoying it. Then the maintenance got to be more than he wanted to put up with and he sold it.

It could be fun but don't let it cut into your riding time to much.

Love the picture, she is very cute.

I don't have a boat. Had one, never used it. Lost a fortune and my virginity. Ok. I'm lying. I was never a virgin. But I did have a boat. Ran on soda powder. Used it every bath time.

But more important, how much for the baby?

Awww cute. Yeah Mr Gab wants a boat too we dont even have a rickety one. But with gas prices and what nots(him working his life away) I dont know if we will ever get one. But in truth? I would love to take a boat out fishing but If we do it better be better than a rickety thing cause I cant swim.

Did you get it?

Ahhahahah...I'm in like flynn!

Boats....boating....ahhh I love it. Of course I don't have one, so I can't attest to the expense, my best buddies have one. Not much different than the bikes....it's mechanical, and yanno Murphy's law and stuff!! Well, grew up around shrimping boats...I know...not the same!! But at least ya got something else to do, you can even get out there in the Fall/Winter here...just be cautious of Conroe and it's crazy storms that brew thru there those thimes of the year sometimes!! Heck take the plunge, you can always sell it or trade it like g-man did!

Gab, wear your life vest! LOL

Sign...going to the bank tomorrow to seal the deal. OY OY..why can't anything just be easy. Of course, the weather was GORGEOUS this weekend and now looking like rain for this coming weekend. You won't be able to miss us on the lake. We'll be the only ones there, with our umbrellas.

jyflol, yeah, those storms out there are WEIRD. Last time we were out with a buddy, one came up. Did you see the big wreck this weekend out there? INCREDIBLE...so so sad.

I have no idea what's up with IE and your template. I'm viewing it with Firefox and it looks great. I've had so many issues with IE that I rarely use it.

Did you save a copy of your template before it went wacky? If so I would just reload it. Other than that, I have no other ideas.

Thanks Sign...I do have a backup..I think LOL, not sure how old it is, but that isn't a bad idea to do that.
